Moss Bank Housing Rewires, Stockport

Grimwood and Dix Ltd have successfully secured a contract with Rowlinsons for the electrical upgrades of 1200 houses across various sites in Stockport. Under the association "Moss Bank Housing", Grimwood and Dix will carry out the 2 year installation work to convert these homes to a safe and modern electrical standard. Grimwood & Dix Ltd completes installation for fountain at Newport South Wales.

Grimwood and Dix have worked in partnership with a local water feature company to produce yet another fantastic fountain in Newport, South Wales. The pictures above reveal the stunning display of fountains and lights after completion of the project.

Partnering in Salford

Grimwood and Dix have successfully completed over four years in partnership with Bramall Construction and New Prospect Housing(now City West Housing). We have carried out rewires and upgrades to over 2000 properties across Salford as part of the Decent Homes Programme.

This formal partnership included regular partnering team meetings which played an active role in driving improvement in all areas throughout the duration of the contract. A significant benefit was that we reduced costs year on year by the equivalent of 5% per year as a result of increased efficiency and innovative working practices.

Grimwood and Dix Ltd completes installation for fountain at The Trafford Centre

Grimwood and Dix have had the pleasure of getting invlolved in the new £70 million Barton Square development at The Trafford Centre. The entrance to the latest area, which features a variety of quality furniture retailers, boasts a magnificent fountain and water feature. The fountain was supplied by the a local water feature company, with Grimwood and Dix successfully installing all control and instrumentation wiring.

Grimwood and Dix Ltd completes electrical installation for Manchester Town Hall.

Grimwood and Dix Ltd have now completed the electrical installation work for the fifth level of Manchester Town Hall in Albert Square. Grimwood and Dix were responsible for equipping the elegant nineteenth century building with lighting and power for its vast office network. Distribution is broken down into fourteen phases with each phase containing a power supply to its own consumer unit. All lighting is controlled by P.I.Rs whilst the sockets, telephone and data accessories are housed on MK3 Dado Trunking.

Chris Grimwood's 60th birthday

Grimwood and Dix Ltd are pleased to announce the 60th birthday of Chris Grimwood. Earlier this month Chris treated his colleagues, friends and clients to a fantastic night at the dogs and was responsible for sponsoring most of the night’s races. Around two hundred people, along with the Oldham Scottish Pipe Band turned up to enjoy the celebrations and hospitality of Chris Grimwood.
